English III Teacher: Bethsaida Garrido Name: Pablo Alguacil – 2017- The moment when I went out with a cousin and some friends to an activity. We were all talking, laughing and saying hello to everyone we knew. Well, in the activity they had quite loud music and at that moment an Omega mambo was playing. At that time I was between 13 and 14 years old and my friends were about the same age. Curious and wanting to know, I asked my cousin how the mambo was danced. When I asked him the question, he looked at me, smiled and said "listen to this one, how the mambo is danced", there everyone laughed, and instead of getting an answer they just made fun of the others. Since then, when I don't know any better, I keep quiet, observe, research and learn. Another moment in my life in which I saw the need to be able to do something "super natural" was when my aunt Laura, aunt lala as I say, was diagnosed with terminal cancer since it had not been detected in time, my family and I didn´t have an explanation for this crisis and the other problems. After the diagnosis, the reaction of my family was incredible since for me, aunt lala we were superheroes for her, we took her everywhere and motivated her to do different activities. We helped her with her chores, for me it was incredible to see how my family took action when they knew that my aunt had little time left. In another aspect, I don't like to talk about my personal life, I consider myself quite a reserved person, it is very difficult for me to talk to others and trust someone. I think that these are one of the stories that marked me the most and one of the few that I could really tell openly, it is not something that one usually says when starting a conversation.
