An overview of the life and contributions of ada lovelace, an english mathematician renowned for her work with charles babbage and the analytical machine. Lovelace is considered the first programmer in history, as she developed algorithms and defined subroutines, conditional and recursive loops to compute bernoulli numbers, all on paper, for babbage's analytical machine. Although the analytical machine was never built during lovelace's lifetime, her algorithms were later proven to work. The document also mentions that the first programming language used by the u.s. Military, called 'ada', was named in her honor due to her influence on the computer world. Lovelace's birth and death dates, her role as a pioneer in computer science, and the significance of her work in the development of modern programming concepts.

The first programme Ten December one thousand eight hundred and fifteen and twenty-Seven November one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two ➢ Born in London, Ada was an English mathematician renowned for her work with Charles Babbage and the analytical machine. ➢ Due to its influence on the computer world, the programming language used by the U. S. military was called ''ADA'' ➢ Ada translated a manual of the analytical machine from French and added a note in which she planned the idea of the universal (programmable) machine. ➢ In these notes Ada defined the subroutines, conditional and recursive loops to compute Bernoulli numbers. THE FIRST PROGRAMME IN HISTORY Ada Lovelace translated from French into English the handbook of Charles Babbage's famous analytical machine, and added a few notes in which she raised the idea of a universal programmable machine (at a time when programming languages did not exist). In his notes he wrote algorithms, defining subroutines, conditional, and recursive loops to compute Bernoulli numbers, all on paper. The analytical machine was never built, so Ada Lovelace's algorithms remained on paper. But later it was built, and they worked. Because of its influence on the computer world, the first programming language used by the U. S. military was named "ADA" in his honor.
