Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be
an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma-anything that
is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you
and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.
Any society is attached to changes, each community goes in search of
development, but destiny does not promise nothing, whether if it will be a positive
or harmful change to the community. This social groups are ruled by a state or
nation and each of this are governed by their own economy.
Where I live there are several economic problems that cannot be resolved in the
overnight, but those can get to solutions over time. All this is due of the oversights
that we have as a community. The three most relevant obstacles are the
unemployment, health management and infrastructure. The first is one of the harsh
difficulties that we have here, because Colombia are positioned at the first country
in Latin America with the highest rates of unemployment. This it is not just a
problem of absence of jobs, it is about the productivity and quality of employment
that some Colombians have.
Some solutions that I think that the state should adopt to develop, are first to force
companies to employ inexperienced staff, because the inexperienced are denied to
gain experience because they do not have the opportunity to be hired, this could be
solved by accepting a least percentage of their employees to be hired without the
requirement of prior experience. And the other is to increase the minimum wage,
because many people of my region is affected by the hard work that they have to
do, to get a small amount that only helps them survive.
