In my opinion, the principal factor of success of the company, what might be called a
nuclear competition is the Know How and the technological forefront that they manage
to create. It is a question of a company that whenever it is going to throw a new product
to the market, practically the world paralyzes, and contemplates this new design on that
it puts to the sale.
This is perceived for me as the major competitive advantage by the one that counts this
company, since it supports to the whole world in vilo thanks to the launch and a product
através of his famous presentations or Keynotes.
On one hand, there is an intangible component that is the know How, and this is
transmitted in the company and I could not be imitated easily, and on the other hand one
finds the design of the product that always is to the forefront of the technology.
Besides these primary competitions that contribute competitive sustainable advantages
to the company, these they rest on secondary competitions since it can be the selection
of human resources, since in this department there are the people who contracts
potential designers for the company that they are going to to make possible with his
talent, the sustainability of or I project.
Another secondary competition, on which the principal one rests, is the marketing and
the distribution, since the company is expert at creating campaigns of launch that they
attract to public's great quantity all over the world, and in addition, através of own shops
in the best locations of the best cities they are capable of agglutinating sufficient public
to exhaust his products in the first hours of sale.
With regard to the dynamic capacities, which are the capacities for it will adapt to the
changes in the system and in the technology, this company not only is capable of
carrying out these changes, but almost it is the company that marks the guideline of the
designs and technologies that are going to be a trend in the world. That is to say, all the
brands that develop technology, the majority of the times wait for the last advances in
Apple, to carry out similar products since it is the case of the tactile terminals,
iconography in the terminals, etc.
There is another important shade in the success of a company, and it is possible to
define with the chain of value. This chain allows to detail the factors in which the
company is successful to pay attention on them and to promote them to achieve the
competitive sustainable advantage.
But, as well as the strong points it is necessary to bear them in mind, also it is necessary
to rely on the factors that the company does not dominate so much, in this company, is
the case of the large-scale production, which on not having been the factor of key
success, is subcontracted and carried out in factories of Asia in the main.
This is carried out of this form, since it is not of great transcendency for the company
this factor, always and when a few standards of quality are fulfilled foreseen, obviously.
Thanks to this subcontracting, it is allowed that the company should handle a few
economies on a large scale, that in case it was made of USA or of another developed
country, not serian capable of taking place.
Finally, the reasons terciaras that stem in this company, can take root in his location,
since he is in Cupertino, SiliconValley. This one is the enclave where the company was
founded, and thanks to the nearness with some of the major universities of the world, as
Stanford, where his founders were formed, qualifies to the place to be an area of capture
of creative futures and developers of product who contribute to Apple a competitive
sustainable advantage, which is what is claimed finally in the company to continue
counting successfully.
