A year ago, I went to London on holiday to practice English. I had studied English for five years
and I wanted to practice in an English city.
At the beginning, I thought that I could understand people very well, however that wasn´t
happened. When I asked something, people answered me very quickly and I couldn´t
understand them and they said some expressions that I didn´t Know their meaning. Moreover, I
had to speak very slowly for they could understand me.
However, a week later, my English comprehension and pronunciation was improving. I could
understand people easier than in the first week and I learned some new words.
I think this trip helped me to improve my English and to learn new words and expressions that I
had ever listened.
