Present Continuous or Present progressive
•The present continuous or present progressive is used to talk about
actions that are occurring at the same time as it is spoken.
Examples:
• He is writing on the board.
•Para hablar de eventos o arreglos que planeamos o haremos en el futuro.
To talk about events or arrangements that we plan or make in the future.
Examples:
• The children are coming tomorrow.
¿Como se forma el tiempo presente continuo?
Nombre/ pronombre + verbo to be: Am, Is, Are + verbo*ING + Resto de
la oración.
Examples: He +is + writing +On the board.
Examples: the children + Are + Coming +Tomorrow.
•Reglas Para escribir verbos con ing (Present participle)
Añadir -ing- al verbo.
Examples:
•Talk=Talking
•Study= Studying
•Sleep= Sleeping
•También cuando el verbo termina en; consonante + vocal acentuada+
consonante
Examples:
-Stop= Stopping
(En el tiempo presente progresivo la regla dice que se debe repetir la
ultima consonante antes de agregar ING)
-Run= Running
-Begin= Beginning
-Admit= Admitting
