1. Coordinate conjunctions:
• And → in addition
• But → however.
• Or → alternatively.
• Nor → and neither.
• Yet → however
a. At a begnnning of a clause: but, however.
b. At end of a clause: todavia no.
2. Correlative conjunctions:
• Both…and
• Either…or
• Neither…nor
• If…then
• Not only…but also
• Rather…than. Would you rather watch or play? (que prefieres)
• Whether…or.
3. Subordinate conjunctions:
• As
a) Because. b) When.
• After → later in time.
• Although or though → in spite of the fact that.
• Before → earlier.
