Sample Exam – Part 2: Hands-on

Instructions:

  1. Create a new part
  2. Using the drawing provided build this compression plate.
  3. Save the part as “C Plate”

Units: millimeters

Design Intent:

  • The part is symmetrical.
  • The origin should be at the parts center of mass.
  • The bore diameter should work for a range of values from 16 to 24 mm.
  • The overall diameter should work for a range of values from 65 to 80 mm.
  • The ribs are equally spaced.
  • The part should be able to support a range of rib quantities from 6 to 10.
  • All fillets and rounds are 1 mm.
  • Maintain the design intent indicated by the part dimensions on the drawings.
