Introduction
Good morning to everyone!
I´d like to begin my dissertation by introducing myself.
My full name is....................... and I am representing my School which is
Virgen del Carmen High School, from Puerto Real.
Right , my team and I consider that Social Media is a real threat, a danger
for Society.
First of all, I want to say that due to the overuse of computers, mobiles,
applications... we are learning to live with a lack of creativity and
emotions and we are not concious at all.
First idea: LACK OF REATIVITY AND EMOTIONS
Why?
Well, I invite the audience to think twice about how Human relationships
are affected by Technology. Let´s focus on creativity and emotions!
A long time ago, when my parents were in their twenties, computers didn´t
use to be present in each activity of human beings.
Nowadays , however, everything depends on technology, for example:
education, studies, friendship, entertainment, etcetera
If you plan a travel, almost everything is previously done on a machine:
flights, visits, weather, restaurants bookings.
You may know everything in advance.
There is a very small place for creativity and surprise.
Our parents didn´t know much about the weather or the restaurants where
to have a meal or even how the room of a hotel could be decorated. They
felt happy because their creative expectations were part of a dream, they
used imagination, they dreamt, they got surprised.
Today , machines do not let us dream or create. We can do everything on
line such as a virtual walk in a city, use tik tok to select what to visit in a
day, etc
Everything is done previously killing emotions such as happiness,
insecurity, surprise. And...we must remember that Emotions are part of our
learning and they are essential to live a life.
