YOU LIVE IN SMALL TINY ISLAND, AND FOR YOU TO MOVE AROUND CARRIES A
VERY BIG EFFORT FROM YOUR BEHALF. ADDRESS YOUR CABILDO´S PRESIDENT TO
PUT AN END TO THE SITUATION.
Dakota Cruz Ramos
Professor Armas Fernandez Street
San Sebas7án de La Gomera, Canary Islands, 38800
Dear Karolos Papoulias,
I wonder if it could be possible for you to help us, the village. I write this leKer to request a
change in the mobility of the island. Ci7zens are limited by schedules that do not allow us
to leave the island at the 7me we need.
At half past five in the aNernoon we are not communicated. Therefore, if there is an
emergency, it is very unlikely that you will leave the island alive or in a good state. On the
other hand, we only have two planes in the whole day which also limits our schedule.
In rela7on to traffic on the island, our young people spend almost two hours on the road
on Mondays and Fridays to get to the city and go home. In itself, to go from one end of the
island to the other, we waste 7me and money that we could save by building bridges or
highways. In this way the roads would be safer and mobility would be fluid.
The people are 7red of always looking at the clock that goes against us. For this reason, I
request that you consider these proposals that concern us so much.
I would be happy to meet you and give you any further informa7on you require and answer
ques7ons or discuss alterna7ve solu7ons you may suggest.
I look forward to receiving your reply as soon as possible.
Sincerely, Mar7na
