Students who have received their codes and registered with Cambridge will be able to access
the exercises before October 9, but the teacher for the course will not be available until that
date.
Here is some information you might find useful:
Contents “Course” section
There are six units in the Touchstone Course. You can work at your own pace and when it is
better for your, however your teacher will post a suggested calendar. It is important to be
consistent doing the contents of each unit on a regular basis. So, be regular and don’t leave it
to the last minute.
When you finish working, please click on the cross on the top-right of the page and logout. If
you don’t log out, the next time you try to log in the system will be confused.
Unit Tests
Unit Tests are part of the assessment of the course. When you finish a unit, please do the unit
test corresponding to that unit.
IMPORTANT: The Unit Tests will be put on line beginning October 9. When you click on each
unit test, you’ll see the following:
- Quiz Practice Mode A. This is for you to practice before doing the real test. You may
attempt this quiz three times.
- Quiz Test Mode A. This is the real test and you CAN ONLY DO IT ONCE. So
be prepared when you do it and make sure you click on END TEST when you finish.
You only have one opportunity in a limited time so please only do the unit test when
you have one hour to dedicate to this.
- Quiz Test Mode B. This test is not available to students. Please disregard it.
Blogs
You are expected to make contributions to the blogs in each unit. Your teacher will be marking
your blogs regularly and/or making comments. You should not only write your own blogs, but
also read your classmates’ blogs and comment on them. Please, bear in mind that blogs are
also part of the course evaluation. You can also participate in the forum to interact with your
classmates; however, this section is not part of the evaluation. Your teacher won’t correct what
you write in the Forum. If you want to have it corrected, please copy and paste it on the blog
section.
Writing blogs and reading your teacher’s comments and corrections are a key factor in order to
improve your writing skills. Moreover, blogs are also an important part of the evaluation.
Please, notice that your teacher isn’t obliged to correct more than 3 blogs submitted
in any seven-day period.
The deadline to post blogs is 20th January 2020. No blogs will be accepted after
that date.

Optional Additional Activities Please notice that there are some additional activities (FORUM, CHECKPOINT, SOUNDS RIGHT, EXTRA PRACTICE, WORKBOOK, GAMES, REVIEWS and VIDEO ACTIVITIES) which are optional and do not count to the evaluation. Evaluation The evaluation system is different depending on the course modality you registered for:

- COURSE-ONLY MODALITY [ Anglès Modular 1.2 / 2.2 /3.2 / 4.2 ] - 2 0% Course Units (NOT forum, checkpoint, sounds rights, extra practice, workbook, games, reviews, video activities) - 20% Writings: blogs* - 30% End of Unit Tests - 3 0% ONLINE FINAL EXAM The deadline to post blogs is January 20 th 2020. No blogs will be accepted after that date. In order to pass the course, it is necessary to achieve a minimum mark of 60% in the total mark. Remember that you will receive credits upon successful completion of the course. - COURSE + CERTIFICATE MODALITY [ Anglès Modular 1.2 (online) Certificat A1 / Anglès Modular 2.2 (online) Certificat A2 / Anglès Modular 3.2 (online) Certificat B1 / Anglès Modular 4.2 (online) Certificat B2.1] - 50% Continuous Assessment: Course Units, Blogs, End of Unit Tests, Online Final Exam o 20% Course Units (NOT forum, checkpoint, sounds rights, extra practice, workbook, games, reviews, video activities) o 20% Writings: blogs o 30% End of Unit Tests o 30% ONLINE FINAL EXAM - 50% FACE-TO-FACE FINAL EXAM (70% written exam and 30% oral exam) to be held on 3 1st January at 15h (location to be announced soon). This exam consists of the following parts: use of English, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, writing and oral interview. *The deadline to post blogs is January 20 th 20 20. No blogs will be accepted after that date. In order to pass the course, it is necessary to achieve a minimum mark of 50% in the written and oral examinations and 60% in the overall combination of final exam and continuous assessment. Remember that you will receive credits upon successful completion of the course.

Activitats Addicionals Opcionals Hi ha tota una sèrie d’activitats (FORUM, CHECKPOINT, SOUNDS RIGHT, EXTRA PRACTICE, WORKBOOK, GAMES, REVIEWS i VIDEO ACTIVITIES) que són opcionals i que no es tenen en compte per a l’avaluació. Avaluació El sistema d’avaluació és diferent depenent de la modalitat de curs en què us veu matricular:

  • MODALITAT NOMÉS CURS. [ Anglès Modular 1.2 / 2.2 /3.2 / 4.2 (online)]
    • 2 0% Course Units (NO forum, checkpoint, sounds rights, extra practice, workbook, games, reviews, video activities)
    • 20% Producció Escrita: blogs*
    • 30% End of Unit Tests
    • 3 0% EXAMEN FINAL ONLINE *** La data límit per publicar els vostres blogs és el 20 de gener de 2020. Després d’aquesta data el vostre professor no acceptarà cap blog.** Per tal d’aprovar el curs cal aconseguir un mínim de 60% a la nota final. Recordeu que els alumnes que completin el curs satisfactòriament podran obtenir crèdits.
  • MODALITAT CURS + CERTIFICAT. [ Anglès Modular 1.2 (online) Certificat A1 / Anglès Modular 2.2 (online) Certificat A2 / Anglès Modular 3.2 (online) Certificat B1 / Anglès Modular 4.2 (online) Certificat B2.1]
    • 50% Avaluació continuada: Course Units, Blogs, End of Unit Tests, Online Final Exam. o 20% Course Units (NO forum, checkpoint, sounds rights, extra practice, workbook, games, reviews, video activities) o 20% Writings: blogs* o 30% End of Unit Tests o 30% ONLINE FINAL EXAM
    • 50% EXAMEN FINAL PRESENCIAL. (70% examen escrit i 30% examen oral) que es farà el dia 31 de gener a les 15h (el lloc s’anunciarà pròximament). Aquest examen consistirà de les següents parts: use of English, comprensió lectora, comprensió oral, redacció i entrevista oral. *** La data límit per publicar els vostres blogs és el 20 de gener de 20 20. Després d’aquesta data el vostre professor no acceptarà cap blog.** Per tal d’aprovar el curs, cal obtenir un 50% a l’examen escrit i un 50% a l’examen oral i un 60% a la nota final (examen presencial + avaluació continuada). Recordeu que els alumnes que aprovin el curs podran obtenir crèdits.

Los cursos online de la EIM empiezan el día 9 de Octubre de 20 19 y acaban el 30 de Enero de 2020. Los alumnos que ya hayan recibido los códigos y se hayan registrado en la plataforma podrán acceder a los ejercicios antes del 9 de Octubre, pero el profesor del curso no estará disponible hasta esa fecha. Aquí tienes información que te puede ser de utilidad: Contenidos – Sección “Course” En el curso Touchstone hay 6 unidades. Aunque el alumno puede trabajar a su propio ritmo, el profesor publicará un calendario recomendado. Es importante trabajar de manera regular y consistente y no dejarlo todo para el último minuto. Cuando acabes de trabajar en los ejercicios haz clic en el aspa de la parte superior derecha de la pantalla y luego en “Log Out”. Si no clicas en “logout”, la próxima vez que quieras acceder el sistema puede tener problemas para reconocerte. End of Unit Tests Los Unit Tests son parte de la evaluación del curso. Cuando acabes una unidad, haz el Unit Test correspondiente. IMPORTANTE : Podrás acceder a los Unit Tests a partir del 9 de Octubre. Cuando cliques en Tests verás lo siguiente:

  • Quiz – Practice Mode A. Aquí podrás practicar antes de hacer el test real. Puedes hacer este test de práctica un máximo de 3 veces.
  • Quiz – Test Mode A. Este es el test real y SOLO LO PODRÁS REALIZAR UNA VEZ. Asegúrate de estar preparado cuando lo hagas y de clicar en END TEST cuando hayas acabado el test. Solamente tienes una oportunidad dentro de un tiempo limitado, así que haz el test solo cuando le puedas dedicar una hora entera.
  • Quiz Test Mode B. Este test no está disponible y por lo tanto NO tienes que hacerlo. Blogs Los alumnos tienen que hacer contribuciones a los blogs de cada unidad. El profesor las evaluará regularmente y/o añadirá comentarios. Los alumnos deben escribir sus propios blogs, leer los de sus compañeros y hacer comentarios. Por favor, ten en cuenta que los blogs son parte de la evaluación. También puedes participar en el Forum para interactuar con tus compañeros pero recuerda que esta sección no forma parte de la evaluación. Tu profesor no corregirá lo que escribas en el Forum. Si quieres que te lo corrija, por favor cópialo y pégalo en el blog. Por favor, ten en cuenta que tu profesor no está obligado a corregir más de 3 blogs cada 7 días. La fecha límite para publicar vuestros blogs es el 20 de Enero de 20 20. Vuestro profesor no aceptará ningún blog después de esta fecha.
