ESSAY: What can individuals do to contribute to solving environmental problems?
Although many people take for granted environmental issues, individuals can actually
take part by simply changing insignificant aspects of their daily routine. This essay will
examine this subject from two different perspectives: recycling and energy use and,
finally, it will be decided which idea enables individuals to make the biggest
contribution.
First and foremost, recycling is thought to be useless when it comes to trigger a
significant change on the environment, however, it may be by far the easiest method
to cooperate. Since a young age, we are taught how to recycle and, this small and
trivial action for us, in the long run generates a great benefit for the planet.
Furthermore, not only do recycle serves to reduce waste but it also enables us to turn
old objects into totally new and useful items.
Secondly, many countries are embracing renewable energy since it has been proven to
have several advantages. Despite installing solar panels in our homes or buying electric
cars can be found out of the budget of many of us, using energy in this way is one of
the most beneficial contribution for the environment that an individual can carry out.
Bearing in mind everything mentioned above, it is a fact that enterprises do have a
huge impact when it comes to environmental problems, however, little do we know
that our contribution as individuals is such a big deal. Therefore, recycling would be
the idea that would enable people to make the biggest contribution to solve the
problem.
