Rana del Titicaca
The Titicaca frog is a very special frog. To
begin with, it is not an amphibian, it is
strictly aquatic and since it never goes out
into the water, it does not need lungs. It
does not have gills and in fact all its
respiratory exchanges are carried out
through the skin. The Lake Titicaca frog is
from Large in size and can measure
around 25 cm long, it has many folds in
the skin along the
abdomen, legs,
stomach and neck. Its
colonization can be
varied from olive green
to a peach-colored
belly. and gray to black
in color, even spots on
the back, some are even completely black.
