What can young people do to help protect and improve their local
environment?
Protecting and caring for the environment are two essential tasks that each and
every one of the Earth's inhabitants must carry out. To do this, we have a series of
methods and means that must be followed rigorously, especially for young people
if they want our common home to become a healthier place to live.

and means, especially the new generations. This is important so that in the future
our common home can become a healthier place to live.
To begin with, local youth can start by recycling unused property in their homes,
such as paper, bottles, or plastic bags as much as they can, rather than throwing
everything away after use. In addition to helping to reduce the large amounts of
garbage dumped into the environment every day, it also contributes to the
manufacture of new products made from recycled materials.
Furthermore, something very simple but very useful that they can do is travel with
environmentally friendly transports, instead of using vehicles that require gasoline,
since these emit large amounts of polluting gases which are very harmful to the
atmosphere as they increase pollution. For example, instead of going to school by
your car, you can go on a bicycle or walk, because besides being less polluting it is
good for your health. Or even if you don't feel like putting in a lot of effort, you can
take public transport or even choose to buy a hybrid car.
Also, it would be very good to draw attention by providing information about the
current situation of the planet. Without any doubt, information is a very powerful
key that can be very beneficial as long as it is put to good use. And one of the best
ways to let people know how to proceed when it comes to the environment would
be to conduct awareness campaigns in universities, schools and streets for all types
