Last year my family and I decided to go out for lunch at an expensive restaurant in
Santa Marta. We had never been there before but it had good recommendations
on internet and the pictures of the food looked really delicious.
We had a hard time finding the place because it was on the second floor and it was
like hidden. We went up the stairs and entered to the restaurant. It looked very
fancy and beautiful, so we sit and looked at the menu. We knew that it was
expensive so the prices were not a surprise for us. I ordered a hamburger that cost
50.000 pesos, I was afraid that I would not like it and lose that amount of money.
The food arrived and everything seemed perfect. I started eating it and it was the
most delicious hamburger I had ever tasted in my life. The meat, the sauce, the
bread the side dish was french fries and all tasted really good. My parents and
brother also told me that their food was awesome too.
The bill came and it was much more than what we were used to pay for lunch. But
it didn’t hurt to pay it because it was food that we actually enjoy and I will definitely
return to that restaurant.
Not all expensive food its small or bad and of course not all is delicious, it depends
on the place you go. I think it’s not necessary to expend a lot of money for food,
there are some cheap and nice restaurants.
