Introduction.
Music is an important part of our life, there are genres for every taste, and of course we all
listen to music for every situation or mood we have. Also there are a lot of reasons to have a
favorite song or a favorite artist.
So today I’d like to present who’s my favorite singer and also my favorite song. At the same
time, presenting some important information for you to know some about it.
Body
Her name is Melanie Martinez, who’s an American alternative pop singer, songwriter,
producer, and actress. She was born in Baldwin, New York, on April 28 from 1995. Nowadays
she’s 25 years old.
She was a participant in the television talent show The Voice, in 2012, and being eliminated,
she embarked on a national acoustic tour. Until she debuted with a song titled “Dollhouse”
Nowadays, she is still writing songs, doing activism and preparing a musical video from an old
song “Play Date” that became popular on TikTok some months ago and that is still on the top
50 global on Spotify.
Melanie has released 2 albums, the first titled Cry Baby which was released in 2015, and the
second K-12 which was released in 2019. She announced that very soon, in 2020, she will
release “After school”, which is an EP from K-12, like extra songs. It consisting of 6 songs, of
which one has been released, being Copy Cat and another song that plays during the credits
of his film K-12, called Fire Drill.
Also the last year in 2019, she released a movie called “k-12” just like the album that was
inspired on this movie. The the film was released only one night in some selected cinemas of
the CDMX. I brought the tickets online and I went to Acoxpa’s cinepolis.
