Dear Editor, !
I am writing to you concerning the article I read in yesterday’s edition of your newspaper and
would like to express my dissatisfaction about the comments made on it.!
To begin with, the article mentions how last week’s arts day did not attract many people.
However, this could not be further from the truth as many people did indeed attend to the activity
throughout the day. Perhaps, the time you assisted might have been a less crowded hour. !
I would also like to point out that council money was barely used as we find that recycling
decorations and items used in previous years is an excellent way to contribute the very relevant
cause of climate change and sustainable development. Not only are we reducing the costs of the
event, but we are also reducing production and consumption as well. !
I would appreciate it if you could please explain why you consider that it had limited appeal to
young people. Many of the proposed activities were meant to be suitable for younger audiences.
In the end, we found that this part of society was the one that enjoyed the performances,
workshops and exhibitions the most. !
Thanking you in advance for your attention. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any further
information. !
Yours faithfully, Carlota. !
