1 - Gertrude confessed to Claudius that her son was as mad as a storm and told him about Polonius death. Claudius to get rid of Hamlet and to get control over him, send Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to find Hamlet and ship Hamlet to England. Once R & G found Hamlet, they asked them about Polonius's corpse question that Hamlet refused, saying that it is with the king. Afterward, Hamlet called R & G as a sponge, for spying him and tell everything to Claudius. Hamlet resigns to determine where the corpse is and accepts Claudius's command to ship to England; meanwhile, Claudius was conniving Hamlet's murder. On the other hand, Ophelia seems to have driven into madness. Laertes appears to avenge his father's death and lunge at Claudius for the murder. Nevertheless, Claudius succeeded in convincing him with his version. Hamlet announced that he would come back to Denmark. However, Claudius encouraged Laertes to kill Hamlet, and both are planning how they will do it. 2 - These words were said by Hamlet who was queried by Claudius about the corpse of Polonius. He drove again into a feigned madness and explained that Polonius’ body had been eaten by worms and he should look for him either in heavens or in hell. Again, we can see how the feigned madness aids him to get away with the situation. 3 - Claudius’ plan was to get control over Hamlet and not have the truth unveiled under any circumstances. Apart from that, he sent him to England with the aim of killing him. 4 - These words were said by Claudius who was writing to the King of England encouraging to kill Hamlet. Claudius was referring to the damage that Denmark has done to England and thus, he should respect him and accomplish his desire which is to see Hamlet dead.
5 - The first reason that Claudius gives is that her mother was devoted to Hamlet, and Gertrude was part of his life. The other reason he gives is that the public loves him so everything that he does against him will consequently go against him. 6 - These words were said by Laertes who was convinced by Claudius to kill Hamlet and both where conniving in which ways they could do so. This was Laertes proposal which was to kill Hamlet with a sword that was poisoned with an oil that he got from a doctor. This poison was so lethal that no one would be able to save him. 7 - These words were said by Gertrude who was telling Laertes that her sister Ophelia was drowned. Ophelia was climbing in the tree and out of the sudden fell down to the brook where she was absorbed by the mud. 8 - Drag: To draw or pull with force, violence or roughness something which is heavy or resists motion. Chapel: small church Dust: Remains of a dead body. Hamlet is referring to the ashes of Polonius Ape: imitator. Worm: any of a number of creeping or burrowing invertebrate animals with long, slender soft bodies and no limbs. Bark: sailing vessel with three or more masts Nephew: The son of a sibling.
