1Emily is an exchange student from California. She has come to London for a short time to
study. Emily has just arrived. What do you think she might be excited about? What do you
think she might be worried about? Would you like to be an exchange student? Why / Why
not?
I think she might be excited about making new friends and explore the city. And she might be worried about
studying, and if she is going to adapt. Yes, I would like to be an exchange student because I like travelling and
making new friends, and I think in those experiences you grow up as a person and you find who you are.
2After her first day in London, Emily sent an e-mail to her parents. Watch the video and complete
the missing information.
3Choose the correct options (a-f) to complete the conversation. There are two more options than
you need.
A: Excuse me. Can you tell me how to get to the
university? It’s on East Park Street.
