Past Simple:
We use de past simple to talk about:
Actions or events in the past: I visited Egypt last year.
Actions and events which happened one after another: I saw the Pyramids,
then i went round the cairo museum and later i went to a traditional
restaurant.
Things which happened for a long time in the past: She lived in Zurich for 10
years.
Afirmative form:
With regular verb = verb + ed (e.g. I listened to music)
With irregular verbs = you have to learn it off by heart (Tienes que aprenderlo de memoria) (e.g.
Yesterday I wrote a letter to my friend Anna)
Interrogative form (questions):
Did + Subject + Verb (infinitive) + Adverb?
(e.g. What did you do last weekend?
Negative form:
Subject + didn’t + Verb (infinitive) + the rest of the sentence.
(e.g. I didn’t work the last summer)
