Introduction (Introducción)
"The oceans cover most of our planet and are full of life. They are
home to millions of species and they play a very important role in our
world. However, today our oceans face many serious problems
caused by human activities. That is why it is important to protect
marine life and take care of our seas."
What is Goal 14? (¿Qué es el Objetivo 14?)
"Goal 14 is about protecting our oceans, seas, and marine life. More
than 70% of our planet is covered by water. It is the home of millions
of animals like whales, dolphins, and turtles."
Problem 1: Plastic Pollution (Contaminación por plástico)
"But we have a big problem: Plastic. Every year, millions of tons of
plastic go into the ocean. Fish and turtles eat this plastic by mistake
and they get sick. This is very sad."
Problem 2: Overfishing (Sobrepesca)
"Another problem is overfishing. This means we are catching too
many fish, too fast. If we continue like this, some species will
disappear forever."
