1. Parte de presentación / preguntas personales
Las preguntas típicas (name, studies, free time, future plans…) son muy parecidas a PET, solo que hablas sola al micro.
Frases modelo listas para usar (10–20 segundos):
“My name is Simona and I live in Castellón, in a flat with my family. At the moment I’m a student and I study at secondary school.” “In my free time I usually watch series, listen to music and go out with my friends. I also like using my mobile phone and chatting online.” “At weekends I normally get up later, have breakfast with my family and then go for a walk or meet my friends in the city centre.” “In the future I’d like to travel to other countries, improve my English and maybe study at university.”
Plantilla mental: sujeto + verbo + 2 detalles → “I like … because … and …”
2. Parte tipo “presentación de un tema” (hablar 1 minuto)
Te dan un tema con 3 puntos (por ejemplo: free time, sport, technology…). Tú puedes usar las mismas frases de opinión/ejemplos del PET ampliadas.
Estructura simple:
1. Introducción
“I’m going to talk about my free time.”
2. Tres ideas (siguiendo los bullet points)
“First, in my free time I like watching series and using social media.”
“Secondly, I often spend time with my friends. We go for a walk, go shopping or just talk in a café.” “Finally, I sometimes do sport. For example, I go for a run in the park near my house.”
3. Cierre
“So, that’s what I usually do in my free time.”
Puedes reciclar esto para casi cualquier tema cambiando las palabras en negrita: free time / technology / travel / studies…
Ejemplos:
1. Tema “Free time” – mini-presentación (1 minuto aprox.)
“I’m going to talk about my free time. In my free time I like relaxing after school and spending time with my friends. First, I usually watch series or videos online because it helps me to forget about exams and homework. I also listen to music every day, especially when I’m on the bus or walking somewhere. Secondly, I often meet my friends at the weekend. We go for a walk in the city centre, go shopping or just sit in a café and talk. Finally, I sometimes do sport. For example, I go for a walk in the park near my house or I play games at home. So, that’s what I usually do in my free time.”
2. Tema “Mobile phones / social media” – opinión (responder preguntas)
“In my opinion, mobile phones are very useful, especially for young people. We can communicate with our family and friends easily, and we can find information for school very quickly. For example, I often use my phone to check the time of the bus or to search for vocabulary in English. However, I think we sometimes use our phones too much. Some people spend many hours on social media and they don’t talk face to face with other people. I prefer using my phone, but only a few hours a day, because I also like reading, going out and doing other activities. So, I think mobile phones are good if we use them carefully and not all the time.”
Comparar
“I prefer studying online because it’s more comfortable and I don’t waste time travelling.” “Going by train is slower, but it’s more relaxing and better for the environment.”
Rellenar silencios
“Let me think for a second…” “That’s an interesting question.”
5. Parte de recomendación / consejo
A veces tienes que recomendar algo a un amigo (curso, plan, transporte…). Aquí usas las frases de sugerir/decidir del PET, pero como monólogo.
Plantilla:
1. Introducir el consejo
“My friend wants to study English, so I think the best option is an online course.”
2. Razones (2–3 frases)
“It’s cheaper and more flexible, so she can study when she has time.” “Also, she doesn’t need to travel and she can study from home.”
3. Cerrar
“For these reasons, I would recommend the online course.”
