Since we started the school or the nursery, teachers have played an important role in
our lives. At the academic level, teaching us the contents of the different subjects,
like maths, physics, or history, and at the social level, showing us what is correct and
what is not. Furthermore, some teachers, through their actions and attitudes, have
had a great influence on the decisions of our lives and have generated in us a feeling
of affection towards them. For this, it is normal that we can remember the names and
the characteristics of these teachers. However, the real question of this topic is if we
could remember our first teacher specifically. In my opinion, I believe that it is
possible that we can’t remember this person.
To begin with, when we are children, we have little awareness of our actions and the
things that happen around us due to at this moment we are too young and our
bodies aren’t developed physically or mentally yet. So it is normal that when we are
older, it is impossible for us to remember some of the things that happened when we
were children, or we can’t remember them well. One of these things can be some of
the places where we were, actions which we did, or people who we met or we had a
relationship with this, like some ex-classmates or ex-teachers.
However, it is true that we remember the people who had an influence on our lives
when we were children. The reason why we remember them can be because they
helped us when we were bad, they taught us important things or they only stayed
with us for a long time. Normally, these people are our parents, members of our
family or some of our friends. Nevertheless, they can also be persons that we see
every day and are linked with the school. For example, like in the other case, some
ex-classmates or ex-teachers.
To sum up, with all this, I want to say that it is possible that a person doesn’t
remember his first teacher of the school. Moreover, I think it is more difficult to
remember this first teacher if this person has had him in the nursery. However, I am
sure that if this first teacher has had an influence on the life of a person, this person
remembers him.
