DESCRIPTION

• This document includes two parts: o Part I: codes table for generic variables in PEIMS and TAKS data files o Part II: lists all of the variables for each kind of PEIMS and TAKS data files
• Each table in Part II represents one kind of data file o PEIMS data include: student, staff, organization, financial o TAKS data include: data prior to 2008, and 2008 data
• In Part II, each table has five columns: o Columns I: lists the names of the variables in source data (O:\data\erc_base) o Columns II: lists the names of the variables in TSP-ERC translated data (O:\data\tsp_erc) o Columns III: lists the description for each variable o Columns IV: lists the values of categorical variables in source data o Columns V: lists the values and coding tables in TSP-ERC translated data
