SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
In this chapter, the summary of the study, recommendations and conclusions are presented.
Summary of the Study
This study investigated the family risk reduction strategies and practices in Barangay Taboc. A sample
of 116 respondents from a population of 323 families in Barangay Taboc. The researcher used survey as
research design and uses questionnaire as research instrument. The instrument was validated and found
to be reliable. It was personally administered by the researcher.
The results obtained showed that, the families in barangay taboc has their risk reduction strategies and
practices. Some of the always create and update the disaster preparedness. They also make sure that
they will be more prepared and alert in case a disaster or calamities may occur. According to them there
is a significant influence on their families in having disaster preparedness.
Conclusion
The result from the findings of the study showed that, the families in barangay taboc always have their
risk reduction and practices this is to ensure that they would be able to have a further knowledge on
how to response unto disasters and calamities.
The findings of this study showed some noteworthy results. This helps the citizens of other barangays
in determining and gathering data on what to do before, during and after a calamity occur. This also
helps to lessen casualties after a disaster and to be prepared and alert most of the time.
Recommendations
In the light of this study, the following recommendations are made:
1. Families should be more educated on how to response and to mitigate a disaster.
2. Families should be monitored by agencies especially the National Risk Reduction Management Council
to ensure that all families are alert.
3. Risk Reduction Strategies and Practices should be Prioritized by every family.
