Kent Joemar L. Escoto 12 – Electrode Teacher: Ma’am Bliss Monette Aguilar Contemporary Arts – Module 6 Let’s try this
Let’s do this Fictional Dialogue Kent: Good morning, Mr. Jose Joya. It’s a pleasure to meet you. Jose Joya: Hello, nice meeting you too. Kent: How are you doing today? Jose Joya: I am doing well, and yourself? Kent: Great, thanks. So first of all, let me introduce myself. I am Kent an interviewer, and I will ask you some questions about your art. Jose Joya: Yes, sure. Kent: Mr. Joya, what motivates you to do your art? Jose Joya: Doing abstract art motivates my feeling to do excellent arts. Kent: What does it represent? Jose Joya: An abstract artist's skills lie in his or her ability to use colors and textures to their best visual strength and to create a sound composition from these elements. Kent: Who were your inspiration and why? Jose Joya: Most of my paintings of harmonious colors were inspired by Philippine landscapes, such as green rice paddies and golden fields of harvest. Kent: How do you hone your skills towards achieving a goal in a certain project? Jose Joya: Setting goals at work is an interesting balancing act. On one hand, your workplace goals must support the company mission. On the other hand, they must be your own. Otherwise, goal-setting is just a rote, check-the-box exercise. Kent: Last question sir, do you think you leave a legacy to the country for its contemporary art? Jose Joya: Yes Kent: How? Jose Joya: My legacy is undeniably a large body of work of consistent excellence which has won the admiration of artists both in the local and international scene. Among them are my compositions Beethoven Listening to the Blues, and Space Transfiguration, and other works like Hills of Nikko, Abstraction, Dimension of Fear, Naiad, Torogan, Cityscape. Kent: Glad to meet you Mr. Jose Joya. Thank you for your time. Jose Joya: Nice meeting you too. Thank you for seeing me.
