As we know language is a key component when it comes to shaping all of our cultural identities

RM: someone who has completed their mission service. significant in social contexts, especially when
it comes to dating and marriage since during the missions they put their entire energy towards serving
God, and are not allowed to have romantic relationships. It's not until after the mission the RM’s are
encouraged to date and marry.
Holy Ghost Bump: awkwards, subtle, non-physical. important since Mormons are taught to maintain
modesty in their interactions, especially before marriage.
Molly Mormon & Peter Priesthood: idealized, ultra-orthodox, squeaky-clean members of the faith.
Brother & Sister: They believe that all people on the earth are children of the Heavenly Father
and so by calling everybody at church this, they are reminded of their duty to love and have
compassion towards one another.
- Additionally it is a sign of respect.
- But most importantly it reminds them that they are all equal. No job occupation, marital status,
or amount of wealth makes anyone superior or inadequate.
Father: entire faith is centered on the worship of the God of the Christian Bible. Refer to God as
“Heavenly Father,” “Father in Heaven,” or simply “Father.”

- God is the father or their eternal spirits which reside in and animate their physical bodies.
Euphemisms: clean and respectful speech, avoid profanity while still being able to express
frustration or surprise.
