IMPORTANCEKINDS
Is a research
that uses
statistical
methods to
collect data
of
information
Specifically,
it uses
numbers or
set of
symbols to
interpret the
specificity,
particularity,
or exactness
of something
MEANING
QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH
Quantitative
research is a type
of study that aims
to predict future
changes. With the
help of describing
steps involved in
analyzing and
processing the
data, the results
produce are indeed
high in precision.
Thus, generating
the most helpful
way to obtain the
objective of
understanding
people, things,
places, and events
in the world, in
terms of various
means, is more
likely to be
successful.
OBJECTIVE
– The gathered data is used for the accurate
measurement and analysis of the target concepts.
CLEARLY DEFINED RESEARCH QUESTIONS
– The question used clearly defines about what are
the results that researchers are looking for.
STRUCTURED RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS
– Data gathering instruments contain items that
solicit measurable characteristics of the population,
which referred as the variables of the study such as
age, the number of children, educational status, etc.
NUMERICAL DATA
– Data collected are presented using graphs, tables,
charts, and others for better interpretation and
understanding.
Large Sample Size
– A normal population distribution curve is commonly
used for statistical data analysis. It shows the
number of people living in a given area. Strictly
following the random sampling principle avoids
generating misleading results.
Replication
– Repeating statistical method helps minimize the
possibility of erroneous findings or assertions.
Future Outcomes
– Quantitative models or formula derived from data
analysis can predict outcomes. If-then scenarios can
be constructed using complex mathematical
computations with the aid of computers.
Non-experimental
research is the
type of research
that does not
involve the
manipulation of
control variables.
But instead, it
observes,
describes, and
document aspects
of situations.
Experimental
research uses a
scientific
approach
towards
manipulating one
or more control
variables and
measuring their
defect on the
dependent
variables.
NON-
Survey
-The most common
data collection tool that aims to
gather the information needed
through providing a
questionnaire by the
researcher.
Correlational
-Measures the
relationship between variables.
Comparative
-
Compares two groups
on some dependent variables
to draw a conclusion about
True experimental
Design
-Randomly assigns
test units and treatments
to the experimental
groups, to prove or
disapprove a hypothesis.
Quasi-experimental
Design
-There is no
control group, no random
selection, no random
assignment, and/or no
active manipulation, but it
