SURVEY FOR STUDENT STATISTICS PROJECT
Due Friday, April 24, 2009
Thank you for taking the time to fill out this questionnaire designed to collect data on
students’ attitudes concerning the Statistics Project. Please put your answers (clearly
numbered) to the questions below on a separate sheet of paper. Also, please put your
name on that paper as well as the times/days that you attend class. Every person in your
statistics project group must fill out his/her own individual survey! The Survey is worth
3 points and must be received by 11:59:59 pm on Friday, April 24, 2009. One point will
be deducted from your statistics project grade for every day that your survey is late
(including days on the weekend). The point deduction applies only to the individual and
not to each group member. Please be as honest as possible when answering the
questions. There are no right or wrong answers. This assessment will help your
instructor determine the effectiveness of the statistics project.
1. Did the formative feedback checkpoints (Proposal, Study Design, Data Gathering)
help you in producing your report? If not, why not? If yes, how valuable was this
feedback?
2. Taking into account the amount of time available during the semester, were you
given sufficient time by your instructor to complete all aspects of the statistics
project? Explain.
3. What aspects of the statistics project contributed most to your learning?
4. What aspects of the statistics project contributed least to your learning?
5. Regarding the Rubric for the Final Report:
a. Is there any aspect that should be removed? Why?
b. Is there any aspect that should be changed? How? Why?
c. Is there any aspect that you would definitely not want removed or
changed? Why?
6. How do you feel about the statistics project overall?
a. Is there any aspect that should be removed? Why?
