Identifying the Purpose of DNS and its Type

 Purpose of DNS:

  1. Translation: It translates human – reliable domain name (e.g. google.com) into IP address (e.g. 192.0.2.1) and enable smooth communication between devices on the internet.
  2. Load Distribution: DNS has the ability to distribute load or incoming traffic that is across multiple servers by providing different IP address for the same domain. This helps to balance the load and ensure secure and high performance.
