Example Wernicke's aphasia

  • "Before being in this, I was there on that. My sister had the department on that.
  • Loss of semantic correctness
  • Phonemic awareness. no alterations.

Example Broca’s aphasia

  • “"Yes ... uh ... uh ... Monday ... .. Pope and Peter, and Dad ... uh ... uh ... hospital ... and Wednesday ... Wednesday nine o'clock ... and uh ... Thursday ... ten o'clock, ah ... Two doctors doctors ... and ... and ... uh ... yeah teeth.
  • Agrammaticality.
  • Difficulty in articulating words.
  • Incorrect syntax structure. (Goodglass y Geschwind, 1976)
