IT was made to protect one of the Chinese kingdoms from the enemy invasion. Much of what exists of the wall today was built during the Ming Dynasty in the 1400s. But part of this wonderful monument was actually built in the 200 BC. 5 - The wall is about 11 meters high and measures around 3.400 kilometers. The roadway goes along the top of it. The monument was made of clay, stone and covered with bricks. Chinese people feel proud of their wall. It is the only construction that can be seen from the outer space. Thousands of people visit this large worldwide attraction each year. THEY can visit it from Beijing as the wall stretches to the north. The Great Wall of China is the most famous landmark of this country.
