Use the direct speech David complained that he had to walk two kilometers to school every day. Ruth said that she might be a little late for the meeting tonight. She added that she took vitamins in order to stay healthy.
The teacher announced that he was going to give us a test the following day. She told me that she would start her diet the following week. Paul said he was writing a letter then. They mentioned that they were finishing high school that day.
