(1) How did you become involved with CLIL?
Firstly, he wanted to improve the investment plan for CLIL and the educational plan and then he realised that the need to change and offer something that he had not got when he attended school was necessary.
(2) In which situations have you seen CLIL working best? Have you ever seen it fail?
CLIL is working better in Spain, The Netherlands and Austria than other countries as Portugal. However, he does not consider that this programme it is not working there, but he contemplates that is just a poor teaching. If they do wrong teaching their L1, they will do in L2 also.
(3) Will CLIL eventually replace other methods of language teaching?
It will not because language teaching is evolving as CLIL do. CLIL will adapt itself as the teaching methods change.
(4) What advice would you give to teachers who are concerned about the amount of work involved in setting up a CLIL programme?
Teachers need to be supported, looked after and helped. Being a CLIL teacher is something that requires a large amount of effort. The presence of a native teacher is essential so as to help them.
(5) Are some personality types better suited to teaching CLIL than others?
There is not a personality filter to be a CLIL teacher, but it is better for the ones who bare vocational.
(6) What areas of CLIL research should researchers be prioritising?
