HOW DO YOU REACT TO CHANGES?
PART 1: TALK ABOUT YOUR SELF
I was born in Colatina city in Espírito Santo State - Brazil, but I was raised in São Gonçalo city and
currently I living in Niterói city, both cities in Rio de Janeiro State – Brazil. When I was child, I used
to play soccer and ride a bike on the streets with my friends. During this period I was studying. I have
good memories of that time.
In my adolescence, I used to swim and play volleyball. Nowadays, I'm not used to play these sports,
but I walk or run two or three times a week. I'm used to do exercises regularly.
This year I will start a new project. I will create a channel on the Youtube about healthy life. I think
that I should start with some tips about a healthy diet. I know that I can help people to take a healthier
life. My goal is to reach one million of followers. So, I'm taking a computer course to invite my
channel.
PART 2: DEFINE “SUCCESSFUL CHANGE”
Heraclitus said there is nothing permanent except change. The changes can cause a lot of feelings at
people some good other bad, because they could bring good or bad consequences. Everything
depend of the emotional intelligence of person.
I guess that a successful changes demands a good emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is a
concept in Psychology that describes the ability to recognize and evaluate your own feelings and those
of others, as well as the ability to deal with them. Therefore, we should know how to deal with the
changes. The Changes can come into our lives at any time. I tend to believe that you must to make the
changes in your life, because if you don't make other persons will make.
You know... a change of success is one that eliminates or changes your bad habits and creates or
reinforces good habits, as well as helps you achieve your goals or purposes.

PART 3: ANALYZE A SITUATION

In 1987 I was working and studying and decided to take the college prep course, but I couldn't pass. So, in 1988, I took all my savings and I quit my job, because I wanted to devote myself only to studies. Definitely, I knew it was all or nothing. That is why, I used to study for about 12 hours a day. I abandoned friends, girlfriend, football, everything that couldn't help me in my studies. Why I was doing this? The point is I knew that I shouldn't waste my time with distractions. Summing up, I was doing the great change of my professional life. I guess that was the best decision that I made. During my studies, sometimes I stayed tired, nervous and anxious, but I knew that I will could my goal. When I went to college, I stayed very happy, because it was worth all my effort.

PART 4: DRAW A CONCLUSION

Curently, I'm going through for a great change in my life. Last year, I retired, but I'm still working on other job, because I'm still needing an extra income. However, in a few years I'll retire permanently. Because, I intend to take a great trip with my wife around Brazil and maybe other countries. I might say that will be a great change in my life, but I guess that I usually react positively to changes. Besides that, I know I need to adapt quickly to new changes, so it is very important to work on my emotional. Is how Darwin said "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to changes".
