Written Assignment Unit 2: “Case in Point: SAS Institute Invests in Employees.” SAS is a company that values the work of others. They have created a system where the workers have many benefits. We can verify that the strategy that SAS uses with its employees is effective. They prefer to invest in their employees because they know that everything will return to them. Thanks to this, they have become a millionaire company that improves and grows every day. Each person's behavior changes a lot and depends on the work they are doing. Some are passionate, and others hate their job. Interpreting the SAS with the Factors That Have the Strongest Influence over Work Behaviors table, there is a perfect relationship between the first two that are desirables: Job Performance and Organizational Citizenship, while not good relation with the last two considered as undesirables as Absenteeism and Turnover. One of the important objectives of the field of organizational behavior is to understand why people behave the way they do. Which behaviors are we referring to here? We will focus on four key work behaviors: job performance, organizational citizenship behaviors, absenteeism, and turnover. Note that the first two behaviors are desirable ones, whereas the other two are often regarded as undesirable. While these four are not the only behaviors organizational behavior is concerned about, if you understand what we mean by these behaviors and the major influences over each type of behavior, you will gain more clarity
If employees love their job, their performance will surely be the best, and the company will grow. It is essential to invest in the people who want to work there. The employees will trust their jobs and will always be loyal. When performance a company that cares about its employees, they always will do their best even if there is no money on the table. “Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them greatly and they will show themselves great.”[CITATION Eme82 \l 2058 ] Word count: 494
