Problem Statement: A solid triangular prism has a depth of 6.00 inches. The triangular faces are isosceles triangles with dimensions shown below. To form a new object, a hole with a diameter of 2.00 cm is drilled perpendicular to one of the triangular faces. The depth of the hole is ½ of the depth of the prism. You may assume the hole is centered in the middle of the drilled triangular face. What is the percent of material removed during the drilling process?
