Interpersonal skills Interpersonal skills are those skills which we basically use in our daily life i.e. communication skills leadership skills, negotiation skills, time management skills etc. For developing interpersonal skills, we should not have good academic results or work hardly in our work place. We must understand the importance of the skills and then properly use in our daily life. Person having good personal skills will always be appreciated and will be adapted in every situation. There personal life and professional life will be managed and balanced properly. Interpersonal skills also include communicating verbally, non-verbally, listening to others while they present their views, work in team etc. People having interpersonal skill will always have positive thinking toward any situation, will always maintain a friendly environment, is always motivated toward any work and is a quick learner. Having these skills will further help us understand negotiation skills, personally effectiveness, problem solving skills, techniques and methods etc. To be personally effective on the personal and professional life you don't need to have many other skills. You just need to enhance your own skill in the professional way like: listening skill, negotiation skill strengths talents energy and time etc. This skill will help you to make a team and achieve the goal on the time. They can communicate in an effective way and can build a good reputation among the personal and the professional peoples. In my event also I have used some of the techniques like communication skills, time management skill, interpersonal skill will help you to achieve more goal than I was expecting from my event. Good interpersonal skill like if you are working on interpersonal skill then you will achieve more than the interpersonal skill teaches you. How you can develop your interpersonal skills? In other to improve the interpersonal skills you must be a quick learner. Basically, to have a better interpersonal skill you must be able to communicate non-verbally, should have more interactions and also should be able to manage people's impression for you. You must be wise enough to understand which of the interpersonal skills is lacking on you and must start working on it. let’s us take an example of a person lacking non-verbal communication skills for their development they should focus on learning what makes up for non-verbal communication i.e. use visual cues which is more important to interpret and deliver than audio cues. With visual
cues, people are more likely to successfully interpret facial expressions in comparison to body language. Being able to communicate and manage a team with the help of communication skills having good behaviors towards them will also show your interpersonal skills. In the event I presented above also shows verbal, non-verbal communication plays and effective roles to understand among the peoples on the events. The body language of the presentation, tone of the people, personal ware up will also be affected on the effective communication among the sender and the receiver. Anger management. Aggression, and many emotions should be under control to have the interpersonal skills. Positive attitude, less stress is also the main factor to build the interpersonal skills. Being friendly, communicating to all with the same behaviors, mutual understanding is also needed. As you gain those skills in life then they should be implemented and practiced in all the aspects of the life. They should be reflected on your work and understanding. While working on the group and acting as the leader of the team you need to have the interpersonal skills. Resolving the problem of the situation, handling the bad situation calmly without hurting anyone, negotiating on the work place are the area where you can practice these skills. Developing and keeping these skills up to you doesn't have the meaning so it should be implemented on the personal as well as on the professional life. Application of the interpersonal skills: The application of the interpersonal skills is widely in the use. Interpersonal skills like time management skills, negotiation skills, assertiveness skill, leadership skill has become the essential factors to make professional life easy. Those people who have the interpersonal skills are being appreciated and adopted and are flexible at any situations. On the event also it helps to maintain the interpersonal skill like to manage the time, to act as a leader in the team also the most effective factor is interpersonal skills. With the maintenance of the good interpersonal skills there is maintenance of the stander and the impressions in front of the peoples.
