Users with this communication appear passive on the surface but, behind the scenes he/she is angry. Passive-aggressive communicators often cannot confront others or issue instead they mutter to themselves. Main problem with them is that they cannot acknowledge their anger, instead use facial expressions that cannot correlate with their feeling and even deny there is a problem. For example, a person is angry about something which he does not like but instead of showing angry face to other he/she shows a smiling face so that others cannot know he/she is angry. Assertive communication: Assertive communication is one of the most significant styles of communication as it offers open communication. It is the opposite of aggressive communication, in which an individual speaks politely, share his/her opinions, ideas, feelings, and desires while considering the needs of others. There will be a mutual understanding with this communication which is fruitful for every kind of work. Now, going towards the question, I had organized a two-day training event on “Database Management System”. Before organizing an event, I had made a schedule it. This event was mainly focused towards college going students who show keen interest towards IT, so, by keeping that in mind, I had scheduled an event for Friday in afternoon (1:30 PM to 5:00 PM) and Saturday in the morning (11:00 AM to 2:30 PM) in Trinity International college which is located at a favorable location for students as many colleges are located in the same location. During these two days, I decided to keep presentation and discussion, lecture, pamphlet, workshop classes, teamwork etc. To make an event successful, I had made a schedule using Microsoft Project as time management is the most important thing to successfully organize and implement a program without any problems. Schedule of an event Schedule is a most important thing if we want to successfully plan and implement the program that we are going to do. Without it, all topics of a program will not be included or program will not go as planned. So, to make an event successful and effective, I had made a schedule for this event on Friday 22nd^ July 2018 and Saturday 23rd^ July 2018. Avinna Shrestha (HND / First Semester)
Fig.: Schedule of an event with Gantt chart Communication formats used during design and delivery of an event Formal communication: For this event, the first thing is the location of an event. To select a proper venue, first, I discussed to my training and development manager and went to the venue, where I talked with Principal as well as Coordinator about my event and outcome of an event. Informal communication: Before, going towards a venue, my training and development manager had written a letter to Principal of the college asking permission to conduct an event on his college premises on “Database Management System”. Letter written by my training and development manager to the principal of college is shown below: Avinna Shrestha (HND / First Semester)
Visual communication: The presentation was a key means of communication in this event. Most of the training was given through presentation, which makes topic interesting and the student becomes more focused on that topic. Also, during creating a simple database, I visually showed them how to execute a query properly without any error in MySQL. Avinna Shrestha (HND / First Semester)
Leaflet Design Fig: Leaflet Design The above figure is leaflet of my training event. I started distributing this leaflet to different colleges so that students can know about an event and those interested in Information Technology can attend this event. Avinna Shrestha (HND / First Semester)

Conclusion Communication is the very important thing which makes life fruitful and socially active. For, this we use different types of communication styles. Each style has their own way with which communication is done. In order to achieve something, communication is essential as a single person cannot do it by himself/herself. So, in order to successfully complete a training event, different types of communication styles were used such as formal, informal, visual communication styles etc. Avinna Shrestha (HND / First Semester)
Time is just like a river which flows continuously and doesn’t wait for anyone or anything. It’s an often heard phrase and skill- whether in job descriptions, event management or just in our daily life. But what do people mean and why is it so important? Time Management refers to managing time effectively so that the right time is allocated to the right activity. (After the last point) Time must be explicitly managed, just like money. However, much of this won’t make sense until later in life when you have many responsibilities. Avinna Shrestha (HND / First Semester)
We know right we always feel that there is no enough time in the day for us. But, since we all get the same 24 hours, why is it that some people achieve so much more with their time than others? So, why time management is important. Why do we need in our life? (points) Avinna Shrestha (HND / First Semester)
Then if, I add small pebbles in it, then it can be in the jar with stones. ??(ask question and wait for an answer) At last, if I add sand also, it also fits in it. ??(ask question and wait for an answer) The sand , stone and jar analogy perfectly explains time management. Considering it in real life, the jar denotes the time we have to accomplish the given task keeping priorities symbolized as stones ahead before considering any urgencies that is pebbles and any sort of distractions that is sand. This means that if the pebbles and the sand were lost, the jar would still be full and your life would still have meaning. But what if we try to do in reverse and fill the jar with sand first, then remaining stone and pebbles cannot be put into the jar. We can compare this with our real life. If we spend most of the time doing unnecessary things then there will no or less time to important tasks. One should always prioritize the tasks as per their importance and urgency. (points) For the venue, I discussed to my training and development manager and went to the venue, where I talked with Principal as well as Coordinator about my event and outcome of an event. Plan your day well in advance. Prepare a “TASK PLAN” and jot down the important activities that need to be done in a single day allocating time to each activity. As for what I did, I made a schedule and planned things according to it. Avinna Shrestha (HND / First Semester)
