Some Items to Consider for Your

Plan of Work Revision

Section A: Review of Literature

A good way to think about this section is to address three areas:

  • Prevalence -- establish how big the problem is with national level data
  • Causes -- establish the root of the trouble
  • Solutions – behaviors that can fix the trouble or tackle a root cause - These will be the behaviors in your annual objectives - Almost everyone will need to add more of these

Section A: Review of Literature

References for the POW

  • Include the volume number, issue number, and pages of the journal article
  • Publications and websites from advocacy groups are not adequate references– use the primary references that are research-based
  • (source) or (citation) or (reference) means you need to find a research based reference to support the claim you have made

Section B: Current Situation

  • This should detail what is happening locally

related to the broad issue identified in Section A

  • You can use additional supporting indicators

to make your case for the main indicator you will use in Section C

  • You could also discuss existing programs that

deal with this issue locally

Section D: Significance of The Change

  • Include both social and economic benefits of

success

  • You may need some references here
