HUMPBACK WHALE
-Is a mammal
-Live in tropical water and cold water depends of the migration.
- She doesn´t make her migration in groups.
- She has the longest migration of all animals (20,000 km) by year.
-Her migration is from Antarctica to Ecuador.
MIGRATION: (North)
- She may have made for food.
- She makes that migration for reproduction and childbirth
- Month: June – October
- Peru: July- October (Mancora/Los órganos = Piura)
MIGRATION: (South)
- She makes that migration for food alone or with her calf.
- Month: October- April
- Peru: October- November
Challenges:
1.- Boats
- Hit and kill to humpback whale when they are fishing for fish.
- Interfere with their sound in her communication with other whales and the
whale can use her sound to find other whale for her reproduction.
2.- Climate change
- The food that are the fishes go to other place when the climate is hot not
cold, so this a very challenge for the whale because she can´t eat the fish as a
result, the death.
3.- Predator = Killer whale
I hope that this situation especially from part of the human to humpback
whale improve for the future.
