STEPS TO DESIGN A DIDACTIC UNIT

Step 1  (^) Any didactic unit is referred to one particular level:

  • (^) Primary (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th)
  • (^) GCSE (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th)
  • (^) Bachillerato (1st, 2nd)
  • (^) Official School of Languages (Basic Cycle: 1st^ & 2nd, Intermediate Cycle: 3 rd^ & 4th; Advanced Cycle: 5th, 6th)
  • (^) Decide on any of the above levels in relation to your exam and to a possible interest or special experience you may have

Step 2  (^) The topic is the axis of all the elements involved in a Didactic Unit, therefore chose an appealing one bearing in mind the learners’ ages, interests, hobbies, social and family background, …

Step 4  (^) Out of the corresponding legislation for the level chosen, Select those Area/Subject Overall Objectives that may be worked on in the Didactic Unit

Step 5  (^) Make reference to the Official Content Blocks established for each level:

  • (^) COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS
  • (^) REFLECTION ON THE LANGUAGE: Language and Grammar Functions, Lexis, Phonetics
  • (^) SOCIOCULTURAL ASPECTS  (^) Whether or not they are divided into concepts, procedures and attitudes

Step 7  (^) Select the appropriate Evaluation Criteria officially established, according to level and depending on the Autonomous Community. The Evaluation Criteria selected must be closely related to the Area/Subject Overall Objectives
