1. Find an example of a civil engineering project in your town or
area.!Describe it and explain how it serves the community.
In Spain there’s the Ap-7, that is a highway that goes from the north of
Catalonia to Murcia. It’s a highway that allows you to go quickly to the sites by
car or moto. Also, trucks are allowed and like that they transport things, and this
makes a good economy.
2. Why do environmental engineers need to work with many other
types of engineers?
They work with others because of the nature of the tasks they do, also when
they are working with other engineers they can probably stay in the offices.
3. Do all fields of civil engineering need to use surveying?!Explain
your answers.
Using surveying is vital for the civil engineering because it is vital to calculate
surfaces, measure areas and rectification of limits. They need these things, if
not their work does not make sense.
4. Think about a time when you have worked with others on a group
project or in a formal group, like a sports team or singing
group.!What aspects of working together worked well?!How could
you bring this aspect to the workplace?
I would say communication, because with it all group mates can get a better
organization and can help each other. When you are working in some project, I
think that talking and debating with you partner about it is very important,
because together you can thing better and can have better results.
