Technologies of the future: the Internet
Nowadays, many think that newspapers are going to die out because of rapid progress in
technology. However, modern technology has many benefits and drawbacks that influence
people's lives seriously.
Therefore, some cashed in on advantages of mass-media and made some people to trust in
wrong information. Printed newspapers involves production, information requires a lead time
before it ever reaches you and might make that knowledge obsolete by the time it appears on
the page and reaches your doorstep. Printed materials require paper, which is harvested from
trees; and ink, which comes from chemicals. Both require time-consuming and expensive
processes to make.
On the other hand, the internet gives us opportunities to find news that are concerned people
and eliminate unneeded information. Besides, it is possible to follow all newspapers online by
computers and tablets instead of splashing out on them.
According to some studies Internet is more important than newspapers. 82% of American
population is using the Internet in their daily life. Some people even in American University in
Bulgaria are becoming complete Internet-maniacs; they are sitting in front of their computers
all day long.
In conclusion, it seems to me that new coming generation is attached to the internet
thoroughly therefore future of newspapers is in danger. After years newspapers might
completely disappear because of the lack attention to the outmoded media.
