A freight forwarder, forwarder, or forwarding agent, also known as a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC), is a person or company that organizes shipments for individuals or corporations to get goods from the manufacturer or producer to a market, customer or final point of distribution. Forwarders contract with a carrier or often multiple carriers to move the goods. A forwarder does not move the goods but acts as an expert in the logistics network. These carriers can use a variety of shipping modes, including ships, airplanes, trucks, and railroads, and often do utilize multiple modes for a single shipment. For example, the freight forwarder may arrange to have cargo moved from a plant to an airport by truck, flown to the destination city, then moved from the airport to a customer's building by another truck.
International freight forwarders typically handle international shipments and have additional expertise in preparing and processing customs documentation and performing activities pertaining to international shipments.
Information typically reviewed by a freight forwarder includes the commercial invoice, shipper's export declaration, bill of lading and other documents required by
the carrier or country of export, import, and/or transhipment. Much of this information is now processed in a paperless environment.
The FIATA shorthand description of the freight forwarder as the "Architect of Transport" illustrates the commercial position of the forwarder relative to its client. In Europe, some forwarders specialize in "niche" areas such as rail-freight, and collection and deliveries around a large port.
Domestic shipping simply means you've limited your shipping area – and your shipping options – to destinations within the Malaysia. You can call on a range of domestic shipping options to move your correspondence or products for you for anything from documents and parcels to giant industrial equipment.
Depending on your company's products and aspirations, you might want to ship internationally at some point, but there's a case to be made for sticking to the domestic market when you're just starting out. Other countries' import duties and customs procedures can vary broadly, so calculating shipping costs and delivery times to international customers can be a real headache. Depending on your profit margins and your customers' cost-sensitivity, these factors might make foreign sales impractical. By comparison, the domestic Malaysia market, a large and affluent one, is much easier to reach. In many cases, domestic shippers offer a level of cost certainty and predictable delivery dates which you, in turn, can pass on to your clients.
You have the most options at your disposal when you're sending documents and parcels. The bicycle couriers who deliver throughout a downtown core are the most hyperlocal of all domestic delivery options, but there are plenty more. These include independent courier and delivery services for local and regional deliveries and the major courier companies and Pos Malaysia for similar deliveries on a national scale.

Whether a company sells products or services to consumers, other businesses, or both, there are many different ways to approach the marketplace and make a profit. Business models, of which the brokerage model is simply one, are used to describe how companies go about this process. They spell out the main ways in which companies make profits by identifying a company's role during commerce and describing how products, information, and other important elements are structured. Just as there are many different industries and types of companies, there are many different kinds of business models. While some are simple, others are very complex. Even within the same industry, companies may rely on business models that are very different from one another, and some companies may use a combination of several different models.
General business models by themselves do not necessarily map out a company's specific strategy for success. Strategic marketing plans, which are a
specialized type of business model, are used for that purpose. They identify the specific situation a company finds itself in within a particular marketplace, the differentials that set a company apart from its competitors, the marketing tactics used to accomplish strategic objectives, and so on.
Business models involve different levels in what are known as supply/value chains. Value chains outline the activities involved in creating value from the supply side of economics—where raw materials are used to manufacture a product—to the demand side when finished products or components are marketed and shipped to re- sellers or end-users. Companies review and analyze different steps in value chains to create optimal and effective business models.
Some long-established business models used in the physical world have been adopted on the Internet with varying degrees of success. Among these are mail-order models, advertising models, free-trial models, subscription models, and direct marketing models. Other business models are native to the Internet and e-commerce and focus heavily on the movement of electronic information. These include digital delivery models, information barter models, and free-ware models.
Every business model has its own inherent strengths and weaknesses. Just as is the case in the physical world, online business models vary in their suitability for different enterprises. Business models themselves are not enough to guarantee success in the physical or online worlds. As Jeffrey F. Rayport explains, "Every e-commerce business is either viable or not viable. They hardly qualify for the paint-by-number prescriptions that business people seem to expect. Business models themselves do not offer solutions; rather, how each business is run determines its success. So the success of e-commerce businesses will hinge largely on the art of management even as it is enabled by the science of technology."
With increasing demand for online purchasing, more and more businesses are moving to e-store from brick and mortar stores. In the Malaysia, more than 50% of people are purchasing goods online from the comfort of their home and this figure is increasing constantly. By considering this percentage, we can say that e-commerce is expanding tremendously because of its complete range of benefits that any industry vertical can enjoy.
Today, e-commerce has revolutionized the way companies are doing business. Now, consumers can purchase almost anything online 24 hours a day and get an ultimate shopping experience.
For many people in the world, e-Commerce becomes one of the preferred ways of shopping as they enjoy their online because of its easiness and convenience. They are allowed to buy products or services from their home at any time of day or night.
The best thing about it is buying options that are quick, convenient and user- friendly with the ability to transfer funds online. Because of its convenience, consumers can save their lots of time as well as money by searching their products easily and making purchasing online

One of the most important benefits that ecommerce merchants can enjoy is store timings are now 24 hours they can run e-commerce websites all the time. By this way, they can increase their sales by boosting their number of orders. However, it is also beneficial for customers as they can purchase products whenever they want no matter whether it is early morning or mid-night.
Ecommerce companies deals in goods and services, tangible or intangible, earlier, customers have to walk through the door of the sellers ( brick and mortar store ) to make a purchase, when money is offered in exchange of the goods purchased, we call it as an ecommerce transaction. However, digitalization has transformed the way e- Commerce operates. Now an e-Commerce transaction can be processed across multiple touchpoints. With the ease of shopping convenience, digitalization has also brought some challenges and problem for e-Commerce companies.
According to Statista in 2015, retail e-commerce sales amounted to 342. billion US dollars and are projected to surpass 600 billion US dollars in 2019. Retail e-commerce in the U.S. is projected to generate a hundred billion U.S. dollars in revenue by 2019. The figures clearly explain the power of ecommerce industry. This doesn’t mean all the E-commerce companies are consistently making money. The small, as well as big companies, have to face various challenges. Developing the business in ecommerce is the hard part. You have to take care of everything, from website maintenance to customer service.
To earn customer loyalty, what you must provide is excellent customer service. You must make sure from ordering online to shipping, the customer is satisfied with your service. There are plenty of online retailers that might be selling the same product like yours, so you must identify your competitive advantage and nurture your customer service accordingly.
In a sea of never-ending changes to the digital landscape that we call the internet, there seems to always be a new way to market your business and attract new customers to your website. While newcomers to the field of online marketing seem to chase one strategy after another, the veterans in the field know that there are only a select number of methods that actually work.
The difference between those chasing the newest and hottest strategies and those that truly understand the mechanics of marketing and customer acquisition is that the principles and fundamentals of sales don't actually change. Whether we're talking about online or offline mediums, these so-called marketing truths, if you will, always remain the same.
For example, one tried and true principle in business over the ages has been that a customer who receives something for free is always more willing to buy something from you as opposed to someone who has not. This is called the reciprocity principle. Consumers feel obligated to purchase from you after having received something pro bono, so to speak.
And we see this all the time in business. Why do you think supermarkets offer free food tastings and giveaways? Do you think it's because of some altruistic desire to the customers that are milling about in their stores? Certainly not. They do it because they want to move a certain product. They know if you get it for free and you like it, you're far more willing to buy it.
If you're not marketing your content, then you're essentially throwing away free traffic to your website. If you want to attract visitors and ultimately turn them into customers, you need to harness one of the most important principles behind success in the organic search rankings space: content marketing.
