Auditory learning is a style of learning in which an individual learns most efficiently through hearing and listening. Auditory learners retain information better when it is delivered through sound or speech rather than written form. Common characteristics of an auditory leaner include : Can easily recall spoken information Good speaking skills Strong listening skills Typically excel at oral exam Good storytelling skills Benefits the most from reading aloud Easily distracted by background noises Works best on a conversational basis Talented at explaining ideas verbally Figure 1 Auditory
2. VISUAL Visual learning is a type of learning style in which students prefer to use images, graphics, colors and maps to communicate ideas and thoughts. Visual learners must see information in order to learn it P a g e | 1
Some common characteristics of visual learners may include: Observes rather than talks or acts: Visual learners are more observational and prefer to take in the whole picture first. Detail-oriented: visual learners are more likely to notice the fine details of a project, subject, or task. Organized: Visual learners, because they see information in space, often organize that information using colours, meaningful symbols, and in particular formats that utilize different fonts and text styles. They may also be gifted spellers and may find neatness a priority in their learning. Remembers with pictures: With memorization, recalling images is more helpful than text boxes. When remembering people, visual learners will remember faces more often than names. Future thinker: visual learners organize events in the future well, and often practice advanced planning. Visual note-taking and doodles: visual learners may find taking notes and doodling helpful, or may take visual notes, such as mind-mapping ideas rather than listing them, and drawing meaningful symbols to aid in their note-taking. Reporting out learning: visual learners may find it helpful to present their ideas and report on their learning using visuals such as models, diagrams, posters, flow charts, and illustrations. Personality: visual learners are often reported to be more introverted but can also be extroverted. Visual learners are often categorized as being quiet and neat, but may also be messy and loud. 1. Visual - My learning style Visual learning is one of the best types of my learning styles that helps me to see the information to learn it. It captures the image of what I sees, based on spatial awareness, images, colour, brightness, or any other visual information. Therefore, the classroom is the best place for me to learn visually. Nowadays , I see teachers adapt visual methods for teaching by using whiteboards, handouts, images, videos, presentations, etc for effective learning. Visual learners can boost my confidence and performance in school. 2. Figure 6 Role of Life Long Learning 3.3. My Personality Reflection After the process of event, I saw my team and I had very smooth and comfortable working sessions together. As for me, I feel extremely proud and satisfied because I create a precious work by my efforts and through the process of carefully filtering the content and I have many opportunity to discuss my work for the company understanding my presentation team. Time management is also something that my team and I do well in the meeting and the group work, it’s not only help my team have more time freedom to learn or find something else but also it makes a habit of not procrastinating on other tasks for my team.
