Define Phase modulation (PM)?

Representation of knowledge or signal states because of the phase of a fixed frequency sinusoidal carrier wave. Where data is in binary make up the modulation involves a phase difference of 180o involving the binary states and is particularly often called Phase Shift Keying (PSK).
