Calculate Work Plane SOFA?

"Planet SOFA applies a force of 5.6 x 10^10 N on its moon and the moon is 4.0 x 10^8 km away from SOFA and it continues to circle SOFA in a circular orbit of circumfrence of 2.5 x 10^9m. Please show all of your calculations to prove that your solution is correct. Thanks"

Physics volleyball question?

"A volleyball court is 30.0 ft. wide and 60.0 ft. long, with the net in the center of the court. Lines on the floor of the court mark the court boundaries. A volleyball player, standing 12.0 ft. from the net on her side, hits the volleyball over the net. She hits the ball from a height of 7.80 ft., and 2.10 seconds later, it lands on the back line on the other side, scoring a point for her team. Air resistance is negligible. A) What is the magnitude of the velocity of the ball when she hits it? B) What direction is this velocity vector pointed in? C) What is the magnitude of the velocity of the ball when it hits the floor? D)what direction is the velocity vector (in part C) pointed in?"

A transverse wave on a rope is given by y(x,t)= (0.750cm)cos(π[(0.400cm−1)x+(250s−1)t]).

Find
  • A) Amplitude
  • B) Period
  • C) Frequency
  • D) Wavelength
  • E) Speed of propagation
  • F) Is the wave traveling in the +x- or − x-direction?
  • G) The mass per unit length of the rope is 0.0500 kg/m. Find the tension?
  • H) Find the average power of the wave (Watts)?

The equation y(x,t)=acos2πf(xv−t) may be written as y(x,t)=acos[2πλ(x−vt)].

  • A) Use the last expression for y(x,t) to find an expression for the transverse velocity vy of a particle in the string on which the wave travels. Express your answer in terms of the variables A, v, λ, x, t, and appropriate constants.
  • B) Find the maximum speed of a particle of the string.
  • Express your answers in terms of the variables A, v, λ, x, t, and appropriate constants.

I have a question about order of magnitude?

When I tried to solve order of magnitude questions, I realized that we found the answer as 4*10^7. But my book was converting this answer to this 4*10^7~10^8. I confused. Can you tell me what is happening?
