Elaborative rehearsal is a technique to save a term or information in memory. In this technique, instead of repeating the information again and again, person try to find its meaning and then connects it with the most related information or knowledge already available in memory. For example, new word or term to remember is neuron. Storing it with information like what is it, what does it do, how it differs from other cells information and in the end, trying to find what was the memory about it you have stored in past but did not know at that time.
