What are two groups in which Random Access Methods in wireless networks is divided?

I have a quiz in a week where I have to explain some random access techniques and its different groups. Please give me direction for further research/

each location inside memory is directly accessed while not the requirement to sequence through previous locations. Direct access is maybe a lot of applicable, as this access technique isn't extremely random.
